Shahbaz Sharif visits Kot Radha Kishan,announced financial assistance for bereaved family

CM PUNJAB-01 CM PUNJAB-02Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif went to the home of the husband and his wife who were burnt alive in a village near Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur today and expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the heartrending incident with the aggrieved family. Sympathizing with the aggrieved family, the Chief Minister assured that justice will be provided at every cost and justice will seem to be done.

He said that the accused will not escape deterrent punishment. Consoling the aggrieved family, Shahbaz Sharif said that this incident of barbarism is highly condemnable. He announced financial assistance of Rs.50 lakh and ten acre land for three children of husband and wife who were burnt alive. He said that Punjab government will bear the living expenses of three children and provide them educational and health facilities free of cost.

Talking to aggrieved family, the Chief Minister said that he is deeply shocked over this incident of barbarism and has no words to condemn this tragic incident. Shahbaz Sharif assured that he will not rest content till the provision of justice to the aggrieved family. He said that cruelty has been committed with the aggrieved family and perpetrators will have to give account of it. He said that the case against the accused will be sent to anti-terrorist court and justice will be ensured to the aggrieved family at every cost.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Islam does not allow burning of human beings alive. He said that the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) has given the lesson of tolerance, patience and peace to Ummah and the entire life of Holy Prophet is a beacon of light for us. The Chief Minister said that protection of every citizen of the province is the responsibility of the government and it will discharge it efficiently and complete protection will also be provided to the aggrieved family. He appealed to Ulema to provide guidance to their followers and inform them about the real essence of Islam as the foundation of Islam is based on peace and brotherhood.

Shahbaz Sharif expressed love and affection with the children and assured provision of justice to the aggrieved family.  Provincial Home Minister Col.(R) Shuja Khanzada, Spokesman Punjab Government Zaeem Hussain Qadri, MPA Rana Sanaullah, IG Police Punjab, Commissioner Lahore Division and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, the Chief Minister while addressing a meeting held with regard to reviewing the tragic incident occurred in Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur said that the incident of burning the husband and the wife in Kasur is highly heartrending and Punjab government strongly condemns this incident. He said that strict action will be taken against those involved in this incident. He said that those who burnt husband and wife alive deserve no leniency.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Islam gives the lesson of peace and brotherhood. He said that those involved in this tragic incident deserve deterrent punishment and will be brought to condign justice. He said that burning of human beings alive is another kind of terrorism in the name of religion and no civilized society can permit it. He assured that justice will be provided to aggrieved family at all costs. Unfortunately, the main reason of intolerance attitudes in the society is that we have forgotten the teachings of Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him), he added.

The Chief Minster said that the sentiments of tolerance and patience will have to be promoted in the society. He said that every segment of the society will have to come forward and play its positive role for eradication of such tragic incidents in future. Provincial Ministers, Members National and Provincial Assembly, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home and concerned officials attended the meeting.
