Lahore Lions will depart for Ludhiana on November 7

Lahore LionsLahore: Sports Board Punjab’s Kabaddi team Lahore Lions will depart for Ludhiana, India on the morning of November 7 (Friday) to feature in next round matches of World Kabaddi League (WKL).

The Lahore Lions team will play seven matches during their 2-week long tour. Their first six matches will be competed at Ludhiana. The SBP team will open their tour with a match against United Singhs on November 8 (Saturday) at Ludhiana. Their next opponents will be Yo Yo Tigers on Nov 9 at the same venue. On Nov 10, the Lahore boys will lock horns with California Eagles followed by another clash against Royal Kings USA the next day.

The Lahore Lions team will also remain busy on November 14 and 15 when they will face Punjab Thunder and Yo Yo Tigers respectively at the same venue. Then after a gap of six days, the Lahore team will clash with United Singhs in their last league match on November 22 at Mohali.

Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, in a statement encouraged the Lahore Lions team on the eve of their next World Kabaddi League matches.

DG SBP said that Lahore Lions kabaddi did an adequate training during the last couple of weeks and the prospects were quite bright for our team to offer handsome performance in their next WKL encounters. Expressing his satisfaction on the level of training at the kabaddi camp, DG SBP said: “Our coaches imparted some latest techniques to our players and this time we are quite hopeful that our players will demonstrate a satisfactory performance in the showpiece event”.
