Pakistan women kabaddi team spent a hectic day in training camp

Lahore: Pakistan women kabaddi team spent a hectic day in training camp at Punjab Stadium here on Thursday.

As the mega event of Kabaddi World Cup approaches, head coach Ghulam Abbas Butt, under the directives of Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, has accelerated the training of women squad to prepare them properly for the grand Kabaddi tournament being played in India next month.

The women camp probables did physical exercises including stretching and jogging in the morning session for two hours under the supervision of trainer Mohammad Siddique. After the physical exercises, the probables were delivered a thorough lecture regarding the importance of fitness especially in a major event like world cup.

The trainer also showed a couple videos containing modern techniques of kabaddi exercises to camp probables. Later, he also conducted a question/answer session to enhance the knowledge of women players regarding fitness and physical exercises.

The women camp trainees were indulged in practice matches in the evening session to improve their stamina and form for the important Kabaddi event. The warm-up matches were played under the supervision of head coach Ghulam Abbas Butt.
