At least 52 people died in suicide blast at Wahga Border

Lahore: At least 52 people died in suicide blast at Wahga Border whereas 75 people were reported as injured in this deadly attack .IGP Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has confirmed that it was a suicide attack in which 5 KG explosive material was used. Earlier it was reported that a suicide bomber has entered in Lahore and he may blast in any public place ,specially in any Muharram procession or meeting,after receiving this information,police beefed up the security and issued a circular for the arrest of the suicide bomber along with his sketch but unfortunately the attacker could not be arrested  and a biggest tragedy was written in the  history of the metropolis.

According to the MS Ghurki Hospital that 48 bodies were taken here including 10 women and 7 kids while number of injured in dozens.Services Hospital administration said that 32 injured were brought here and 4 succumbed to the injuries.

Initial report revealed that the suicide bomber was wanted to attack in the flag lowering ceremony but he could not reached the the marked point due to high security.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken the notice of the blast and sought a report from the authorities,he directed concerned authorities to provide best medical treatment to the injured.

DG Rangers Punjab has said that three rangers people were among the martyrs and 3 were injured.He said that the suicide bomber was standing just before the first scanner and he did not breach security.

Chairperson PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned Wahga Border blast.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced a half million compensation amount for the bereaved families of each deceased of the incident.
