Lahore: Spokesman Punjab government Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed displeasure over non-encashment of cheques given to the players of national hockey team and ordered an inquiry into the matter.
He said that Chief Minister has directed concerned authorities to contact each player and apologize on non-encashment of cheques and ordered to ensure encashment of cheques given to players of hockey team in next working day and a report be submitted in this regard.
The spokesman said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif considers players of national hockey team as valuable asset of the country and the nation.
