IGP Mushtaq Sukhera impose sanctions on Lahore Police for raids in guest houses

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera has imposed sanctions on Lahore Police for raids in guest houses.

In his orders ,Mushtaq Sukhera said it could not be allowed to disgrace the owners and the honourable citizens in the name of raids in hotels,guest houses and inns. Any junior officer who was alleged of bribe or money minting,would not be allowed to conduct raids in these public places. If there was an information about any criminal or illegal activities in any hotel or guest house than the local police would take permission from their concern SP and then could conduct a raid.

It is pertinent to mention here that a few days back ,DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf had issued a ten points note for conducting  a raid  in any hotel or guest house,in which he made it mandatory for the raiding party to take a media team with them,so no one could blame after arrest.

After that,police teams started a crackdown and arrested number of people from hotels and guest house who were busy in immoral activities.In few raids some influential people were also arrested who were being tried to blackmail by some members of the raiding teams.
