Lahore: Election commision of Pakistan has rejected Punjab government’s plea to delay by-polls in NA-149 on security reasons and said rangers would provide security for peaceful elections environment on the set date November 16 .
Punjab government has requested Election Commission that the law and order situation may disrupt due to Multan stampede during the by-elections of NA-149 therefore by elections be delayed for a few days.
The provincial election commission has dismissed and ordered that elections would be held on the fix date.
