CM Punjab grills Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan on Bribery case

Lahore: After being grilled in bribery case ,provincial minister Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan has been asked to relinquish the charge of Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs .Rana Mashud khan was shown on Pakistani media , giving remarks about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif daughter Maryam Nawaz and CM Shahbaz Sharif son Hamza Shahbaz while taking bribe in the name of party fund from an immigration consultant and chief executive of Future Concern Asim Malik in presence of his MPA wife.

After TV camera footage telecasted on a national channel,Chief Minister Punjab constituted a committee headed by Raja Zafarul Haq to probe into the matter and he was barred to attend cabinet meeting during the inquiry. As the inquiry has been finished without giving him clean chit. Rana Mashud who were holding the charge of more ministries after CM Punjab and to any other minister,now would have only the portfolios of education and sports ministries.

A spokesman of Punjab government has said that Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan has relinquished the charge of Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs on his own due to personal reason . The spokesman said that on the direction of the leadership, Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan discharged his responsibilities efficiently and now, on his own request, the charge of Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs has been taken back.

It was also said by punjab government sources that Rana Sanaullah Khan being brought back and soon he will be given the portfolios of ministry of law and parliamentary affairs.
