3-year old cardiac patient Talha shifted to Children Hospital Lahore

  Khawaja Salman Rafique 4Lahore: On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a 3-year old child Talha of Faisalabad has been shifted to Children Hospital Lahore where a Special Medical Board has been constituted for his treatment. Talha is suffering from cardiac disease.

This was told by Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Kh. Salman Rafique who inquired about the health of 3-year old Talha and after meeting his parents. Dean Institute of Child Health & Children Hospital Prof. Masood Sadiq, Medical Director Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore besides other doctors were present on the occasion. Kh. Salman Rafique told that the Chief Minister while taking notice of media report about the disease of a child Talha ordered to shift him Children Hospital and his free treatment. He said that during the treatment, the child and his parents will be guKhawaja Salman Rafique 2est of Punjab government and they will be provided free boarding and lodging in Children Hospital. He Khawaja Salman Rafique 3told that a Special Medical Board headed by Prof. Masood Sadiq has been constituted for the treatment of the child. Other members of the Board are Associate Prof. Cardiac Surgery Dr. Jamal Abdul Nasir and Assistant Prof. Paeds Cardiac Surgery Dr. Asim Khan.

Meanwhile, Kh. Salman Rafique also inquired after a 10-year old child Tabassum at Jinnah Hospital Lahore who is under treatment for the last three months. It may be mentioned that a local landlord of Gujrat had tortured Tabassum and cut his two arms three months ago and he is being provided treatment at Jinnah Hospital at government expense.

Kh. Salman Rafique directed MS Dr. Abdul Rauf to prepare a technical report and estimate of expenses of artificial arms of the child so that the process could be completed at the earliest. The doctors informed on the occasion that Tabassum is recovering speedily. Kh. Salman Rafique assured the parents of the child that Punjab government will take all possible steps for treatment and rehabilitation of the child.
