PTI MPAs to present before me for verification of their resignation:Speaker Punjab Assembly

Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal has called PTI MPAs to present before him for the verification of their resignations.

Talking to media in his chamber,Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal said speaker have the constitutional right to verify the resignation and confirms it that the member gave resignation willingly or he submitted it in under pressure.He said every member have the right to tender resignation and he resigns with hand write application under article 64(1).

It is speaker’s responsibility to verify the resignations that’s why he decided to call PTI MPAs ,in first phase 4 MPAs Waheed Asghar Dogar,Nabila Hakam Ali,Raja Rashid Hafeez and Malik Taimoor Masud were being called to reach speaker chamber on 29th of September to verify their resignation.

The speaker said 29 MPA of PTI had tendered their resignations and they all would be called for personal appearance on their turn.
