IGP Mushtaq Sukhera set a new precedent by not attending farewell ceremony

Lahore: A very good ,honest,brave  and dutiful officer of Punjab Police ,Additional IG Sarmad Saeed Khan has retired after reaching the age superannuation. Sarmad Saeed farewell ceremony was held at CPO in which number of officers participated except the Police chief IPG Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera.

Director computer bureau Shaheen Khalid attended the farewell ceremony.

Tariq Rustam Chohan red the IGP message in which Mushtaq Sukhera paid tribute to the services of Sarmad Saeed Khan.Rai Altaf presented memorable shield from IGP.

On the occasion,Sarmad Saeed Khan said it was a day of mixture of happiness and grief,it was a matter of happiness that I was being retired with honour and dignity but was painful to leave the department whom I had given 34 years of my life.These years are my precious  thing of my life and I would spend rest of my life with this memory,he added.

Sarmad Saeed Khan who belongs to Toba Tek Singh born in 1954,served the department for 34 years.He passed double MA in Sindhi,English and had taken DHMS. The officer of 8th common Sarmad Saeed  joined Police Service in 1980 as ASP,was promoted to the rank of SP in 1986,had become DIG in 2005 and Additional IG in 2010. He had served in Lahore,Bahawalnagar,Sheikhupura and different districts of Sindh as ASP,SP and DIG.He also performed as a IG Gilgit Baltistan,Deputy Director IB NR HQ,NPA Islamabad,DIG Security Division Lahore,Add.IG Training,Welfare and Finance and Add.IG Punjab.
