GCU secures record 11 positions in Inter results

Lahore: Government College University Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleequr Rahman has congratulated Ravians on securing as many as 11 positions including the overall two positions in the Lahore Board Intermediate Examinations 2014, saying that students’ achievements bring glory to their alma mater. GCU student Ahmed Rehman topped the Board Examinations with overall 1043 marks, while another Ravian Muhammad Subhan stood second with overall 1037 marks.

The Vice Chancellor attributed the tremendous achievement of the GCU students to their hard work and talent through which they have managed to uphold the GCU’s tradition of excellence. He said it was due to unflinching dedication and commitment of the GCU students to their studies and invaluable pedagogical input of the highly-qualified trained GCU faculty that GCU is ranked among the topic educational institutions of the country.

The Vice Chancellor said that keeping in view GCU’s excellence in intermediate studies, they had increased seats in F.Sc pre-engineering and pre-medical groups. He said GCU this year clean swept the pre-medical and pre-engineering groups; securing all the three positions.

According to the Lahore Board Intermediate results, GCU students have secured all three positions in Pre-Medical Group (Boys) wherein Ahmed Rehman stood first with 1043 marks while Muhammad Subhan bagged second position with 1043 marks. Muhammad Awais Qarni stood third in the Group.

GCU students also got three positions in Pre-engineering Group (Boys) wherein Arslan Tariq, Muhammad Jawad and Tahir Mehmood secured the first, second and third positions with 1033, 1029 and 1026 marks respectively. Ravians secured two positions in the General Science Group (Boys) wherein Shamsail Ramzan and Hamza Mazhar bagged the first and second positions with 973 and 972 marks. GCU student Muhammad Ali Zafar stood third in in the Humanities Group Boys with 929 marks.
