Record of cracking 150 walnuts with head in a minute scaled new heights

Lahore: Performance is such an invaluable aspect that can’t be hidden in any circumstances. Sports Board Punjab’s Guinness Book World Records in Punjab Youth Festival 2014 are still fresh in people’s memory and the sports enthusiasts across the globe are sharing PYF feats on social media.

Muhammad Rashid’s record of cracking 150 walnuts with his head in a minute scaled new heights when Guinness Book team uploaded Rashid’s video on its official face book and twitter page. The popularity of Rashid’s record can be gauged from the fact that American Embassy also shared this video on its page.

Overall, around 97000 people have so far watched Rashid’s video on social media. Guinness Book’s official page showed that 49600 people have witnessed Rashid’s video on face book and 48000 on You Tube in 10 days. Moreover, over 5000 individuals have also shared and 11,000 liked the said video.

Punjab Minister for Law and Sports Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan and Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar have expressed their gratification over the sharing of Rashid’s video on American Embassy and Guinness Book’s official pages. “Simply, it’s the recognition of SBP’s efforts. It’s also a great evidence that the soft image of Pakistan is spreading throughout the world,” Mashhood said.

Usman Anwar reiterated that SBP will continue to provide the youth such opportunities and facilities in future so that they can earn good name for the beloved motherland.

It is worth mentioning that Rashid was also invited by Guinness officials to show his skills in Italy where he established a new record of ‘Most Bottle Caps Removed by Head in One Minute’ in the Guinness World Record show in Milan.
