All the political parties support the demand for electoral reforms: Liaqat Baloch

Lahore:  Jamaat e Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, who is a member of the Opposition parties political Jirga, on Wednesday, had meetings with PML(N) Senator Mushahidullah Khan and minority leader and a former Minister J. Salik, in Islamabad.

In his meeting with the PML(N) Senator, Liaqat Baloch exchanged views on the crisis caused by the PTI and PAT sit-ins and the possible and immediate way out of the situation.

During his meeting with J. Salik, the JI Secretary General lauded the minorities’ role in the national development. He said that the country at present was facing a serious political crisis and the people of all faiths should make united efforts for safeguarding the constitution and the law. He said that all the political parties were in supported the demand for electoral reforms in order to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.

Meanwhile, while addressing JI office bearers in the federal capital, Liaqat Baloch stressed the need for devising a clear line of action and road map for the government, political and religious parties and social organizations to combat the flood situation and minimize the losses. He said that natural calamities had caused huge losses in the country during the last fifteen years due to poor planning and corruption of the concerned authorities.
