Breach was not made in DYKE to save any person:Spokesman Punjab Government

Lahore: A spokesman of Punjab government while clarifying a news telecast by a private TV Channel has said that the administration of Jhang has filled breaches in two protective dykes whereas steps are being taken to fill the breach in another dyke and the Commissioner is personally supervising the work.

The spokesman said that breach was not made in the dyke for saving any person or land of a particular man. Therefore, there is no truth in the news telecast on media, he added. The spokesman said that in view of the threat of flood, residents of villages near river have been directed to remain alert. He said that protection of life and property of the people is responsibility of the government and it will discharge it efficiently.
