The martyrs are our hero : IG Zulfiqar Cheema

Lahore: The Inspector General, Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said the supreme sacrifices, rendered by the Shuhada of the NH&MP, are a ? glorious chapter of our history. ‘Shaheeds’ are our heroes and benefactor of the nation.? He passed these remarks, ? while addressing a ceremony at NH&MP Zonal head quarters, Lahore. The ceremony was arranged to pay homage to the Shuhada of NH&MP that was attended by ? DIG Bashir Ahmed Memon, SSP Muhammed Inkasar Khan, Sector Commander Abdul Khalil and families of Martyrs of Motorway Police.

The IG Zulfiqar Cheema said we must look after families of Shuhada.  We are duty bound to look after their families. The department would provide maximum support and protection to the families of martyred Police Officers, he added. The Inspector General distributed special gift hampers among the families of Shuhda .He said different steps would be ? taken to elevate the morale of police officers and their families.

?Later, IG also pinned down the promotion badges among the newly promoted officers.  Speaking on the occasion, NH&MP Inspector General Zulfiqar Cheema lauded the performance and congratulated the newly promoted officers. He advised them to work with dedication for the goodwill of the department. Honesty is our belief and courtesy and rendering help to road users is our recognition these core values should be continue with every cost, He added.
