CM notice murder of PML-N MPA Shamim Akhtar’s husband murder

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the murder of the husband of Shamim Akhtar, MPA of Muslim League-N and sought a report from Inspector General Police. The Chief Minister directed that culprits involved in the murder should immediately be arrested and the case be investigated thoroughly.

The Chief Minister sympathized with Shamim Akhtar and expressed deep sorrow and grief over her husband’s death. He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

Mian Kabir Ahmed was found dead inside his room in Samanabad early Monday, police told.

she and her husband Kabir Ahmed, 70, had been receiving death threats. On Sunday night, the MPA returned home from a wedding and found her husband dead. The body has been sent for a post-mortem by the police while it adds that no torture marks have been found on the victim.
