Lahore Lions to depart for India to face Yo Yo Honey Singh’s kabaddi team

Lahore Lions Kabbadi TeamLahore: Sports Board Punjab’s Lahore Lions kabaddi team will face Indian singer Yo Yo Honey Singh’s kabaddi team Yo Yo Tigers in its next clash of World Kabaddi League on September 7 in Ludhiana, India.

Lahore Lions Media Manager Abdur Rauf Roofi told the media on Thursday that the SBP outfit will depart for India via Wahga border on September 6 (tomorrow). “Lahore Lions team players underwent tough training during their stay in Pakistan and we are quite confident that our boys will not repeat the mistakes they committed against Khalsa Warriors in their last WKL encounter,” he expressed his hope.

Waqas Akbar, the manager of Lions kabaddi team, told the media that Babar Waseem Gujjar has been retained captain of the SBP team. “Our team will offer handsome performance in its next matches. In the first two phases, our team showed a reasonable performance and won three World Kabaddi League matches out of four in England and India,” he added.

Waqas informed that Lahore team, with 6 points, is placed second in the points table behind Khalsa Warriors, which grabbed 8 points. “Yo Yo Tigers also have six points to their credit followed by Punjab Thunder and United Singhs who both scored four points each. Royal Kings USA and Vancouver Lions bagged two points each while California Eagles have yet to taste a single victory even after playing four matches,” he told.
