Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Naveed Akram Cheema has said that all government departments should remain fully active and alert to cope with any possible flood and precautionary measures should be ensured for meeting any emergent situation.
On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema presided over a special meeting to review preparation and arrangements for coping with any emergent situation of likely flood due to recent rains throughout the province.
Senior Member Board of Revenue, officials of WAPDA, LDA, WASA, Police, Pakistan Railways, MET department, Secretaries of Irrigation, Agriculture, Energy, Livestock, Food, Health, Finance, Housing, Local Government Departments and other officials attended the meeting.
The meeting termed the arrangements made by government departments satisfactory and all concerned authorities have been directed to remain fully alert.
