Lahore: Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, visited Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) Academy and an important operational Air Base today.
On his arrival a smartly turned out contingent of SLAF presented Guard of Honour. He was given a comprehensive briefing about the working of the Sri Lankan Air Force Academy. The Air Chief visited various training, educational and flying training facilities of the academy. The Air Chief also visited various operational squadrons, maintenance and operational facilities of the base.
The Air Chief expressed satisfaction on the current level of cooperation, sharing of mutual experiences between the two Air Forces and agreed to explore new avenues to enhance bilateral professional cooperation.
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force is on a three day official visit to Myanmar and Sri Lanka on the invitation of Air Forces of both the countries.
