Nawaz Sharif will not resign : Shahbaz Sharif

Shahbaz Sharif Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the determination by all political parties to protect democratic system and the constitution is a good omen. He said that the resolution adopted unanimously in the national assembly by all political parties in the parliament for the supremacy of law and the constitution reflects their strong determination to strengthen democracy and democratic system and is the voice of the entire nation.

He was talking to a delegation of PML-N Assembly Members today. Shahbaz Sharif said that he has been supporting resolution of political problems through dialogues from the day one and still he is of the view that political deadlock would be ended only through dialogues. He said that government is taking all necessary steps for resolving issues with mutual understanding. He said that government has shown restraint from long march to sit-in and in future, will also take all possible steps to resolve the matters amicably.

The Chief Minister said that the demand of resignation from elected Prime Minister is unconstitutional and illegal and also reflects undemocratic attitude. He said that there is a procedure in the constitution to remove Prime Minister.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has rendered invaluable services for strengthening democracy and democratic system in the country which are acknowledged by the whole nation and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is acclaimed as elected Prime Minister at international level. He said that the indecent language used by PTI chief Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri against elected Prime Minister and state institution is not appropriate in any respect. He said that people as well as workers of both the parties have condemned Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri on using indecent language and expressed disappointment over their leadership.

The Chief Minister said that those political elements who tried to make Independence Day controversial have now become themselves controversial on Sharah-e-Dastoor in Islamabad and isolated politically. He said the nation has seen through tv cameras the number of people with untimely long march and so-called revolution. He said that those dreaming million march have to face disappointment and humiliation. Shahbaz Sharif said that the question of resignation of Prime Minister or midterm election does not arise as people of Pakistan have given mandate to PML-N. He said that handful elements cannot make the entire nation hostage for their personal satisfaction. He said that government is taking all steps within the ambit of law and the constitution. He said that Imran Khan has broken all records of telling lie in the politics and now crossed all limits of moralities.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pak Army is fighting war against terrorists and achieving successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb. In the present circumstances, the country cannot afford anarchy and chaos, he added. He said that unity is much needed than ever before but some unwise elements are putting the destiny of the country and the nation at stake only for the sake of politics for power.

The Chief Minister said that the conscious people of Pakistan did not support untimely long march and so-called revolution and the nation will not allow any effort aimed at destabilizing the country to succeed. He said that the claimants of untimely long march and so-called revolution have no interest with the problems of the masses. He said that Azadi march and inqlab march will soon die politically and facts will become clear.
