Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of police officials due to torture by workers of Idara Minhaj ul Quran.
Shahbaz Sharif said that he equally shared the grief of heirs of police officials and assured that the blood of martyrs will not go waste.
In a statement here today, the Chief Minister said that the martyrdom of police officials and torture against other police officials by the workers of an organization claiming to be a religious party, is highly condemnable. He said that Punjab government and people of Punjab sympathize with the heirs of the martyrs and assured that the persons involved in murder of martyrs will not escape punishment under the law.
