Lahore: Deputy chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said the resignation of Sayeeda Warsi, a senior minister in British Foreign Office, in protest over British government’s pro- Israel policies, was a slap on the face of the British government.
In a statement here on Wednesday, he said that at a time when the world at large was silent over the genocide of the innocent Palestinians at the hands of the Zionists, Sayeeda Warsi, despite being a progressive lady, had demonstrated her firm association with Islam and the Muslim Ummah by stepping down from her high office.
Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that the US and Britain were equally responsible for Israel’s bombings in Gaza. He was however sure that the blood of the Palestinians would not go waste and history itself would prove who was the winners and who was the loser.
