No long march can create hurdles in the journey towards prosperity: Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is trying to steer the country out of problems in accordance with the heavy mandate given by the masses and put it on the road to progress and development. He said that no long march or protest can create hurdles in the journey towards prosperity. He said that Pakistan does not need such a long march as destroy national unity but needs a long march for progress and development. He said that the country will achieve its goal, the darkness will be removed and it will emerge as a strong economic force.

He was talking to a delegation of PML-N Youth Wing in Murree, today. The Chief Minister said that Pakistan is passing through the most critical phase of its history and Pak army is fighting against the enemies of peace. He said that officers and jawans of armed forces are bravely facing terrorists and fighting for survival of the country. He said that lakhs of Pakhtun brethren and sisters had been forced to leave their homes due to war against terrorism and facing hardships for peace and secure future for the country.

The Chief Minister said that there is need for unity to overcome the problems being faced by the nation and every member of the society should play his role in this regard. He said that PML-N government is determined to steer the country out of quagmire of problems and its efforts will be fruitful. He said that Pakistan will emerge as a haven of peace and will achieve the goal of development and prosperity.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has completed mega projects costing billion of rupees for providing relief and basic facilities to the masses for raising their living standard. He said that the process of development started in the province six years ago would not stop and Punjab will be made a model province. He said that record funds of 345 billion rupees have been allocated for development schemes in the province in the current fiscal year and the implementation of annual development programme will usher in an era of progress and prosperity.

PML-N Youth Wing delegation appreciated the efforts of PML-N leadership and the government said that the country will certainly rid of problems through these steps. They said that Shahbaz Sharif is serving the masses as Khadim-e-Punjab in real sense. They said that people are benefiting from the mega projects executed in the province and praying for Shahbaz Sharif.
