SPB makes record of bags of blood collection

Lahore: : 615 bags of blood were successfully collected in the World’s Largest Blood Donation Camp held at Fatimid Foundation in collaboration of Sports Board Punjab and sets a world record at Johar Town . The camp received an overwhelming response as 1200 donors

participated in the camp, while some of them are reserved on waiting list. DG Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar visited the camp and applauded the effort of While addressing the event The DG Sports Usman Anwar said that it was our obligation to donate blood for needy patients of thalassemia and we shouldn’t hesitate in it. These patients need our love and affection.

While giving reference of Punjab Youth Festival 2014 he said our talented youth made 33 world records. Sports Board Punjab is organizing International Sports Festival Phase2 in October and we are going to create dozens of new Guinness World Records. We will establish a Guinness World Record of blood donation in October for thalasemmia patients. I am sure that our youth will easily break this world record and we will also create world record of largest blood drop for thalassemia patients by involving a large number of youth in this activity.

He admired the spirits of blood donors and requested them to convince others on blood donation. He also admired the efforts of Fatimid Foundation for thalassemia children.
