India thrashed 25-7 Pakistan in West Asian Rugby Championship

Rugby ChampionshipLahore: : India thrashed 25-7 Pakistan in the 3/4th of West Asian Rugby Championship and secured 3rd Stadium on Sunday night.

Director General Sports Usman Anwar was the chief guest of the event. Syed Advisor to Chief Minister, on legal affairs, MPA Tahia Noon and MPA Ayesha Ghous Pasha were also present there. DG Sports Usman Anwar was warmly welcomed on stadium and then both teams were introduced to him. Officials of Pakistan Rugby Federation and a mass of spectators including female and children were also present to witness the rugby beween the sporting position match position here at DHA Nasir and Rakesh of Indian team exhibited magnificient rugby skills against while Khwaja Kashif of Pakistan played well.

DG Sports Usman Anwar said, “The successful conduction of West Asian Rugby Championship is a proof that Pakistan is the safest country to hold any international sporting event. It is the effort and good policy of Punjab Government and Chief Minister Punjab that many International teams participated in phase 1 of Punjab Youth Festival 2014 and international teams are still coming to Pakistan, he further informed. We are providing a platform to youth to show cast their talent and prove their skills.Rugby final at DHA
