JIP demonstrate complete solidarity with the Palestinians

 siraj ul haq Lahore: Youm e Azm ( Day of resolve) was observed across the country in order to demonstrate complete solidarity with the Palestinians against Israeli aggression, on the appeal of   the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq.

Protest rallies were held in the federal capital, the four provincial capitals besides Muzaffarabad against Israeli strikes that have killed more than seven hundred innocent Palestinians during the last two weeks.

The demonstrators also denounced the silence of the Muslim world and the UN on the massacre of the Palestinian women and children.

Sirajul Haq, while addressing a big rally staged at Multan Road near Mansoroa, called upon the UN to declare Israel a terrorist state for carrying out the carnage of the Palestinians. He also demanded that the UN membership of the Zionist state be cancelled for rejecting more than 70 UN resolutions for peace.

The JI chief called upon the OIC to convene a meeting of the Muslim rulers and announce Jehad against Israel. He stressed that a joint army of the Muslim world be formed for the defense of Palestine. He reiterated his demand to the Arab world to pull out its wealth from the US banks and use petrol as weapon emulating late King Faisal’s example, in order to compel the west review its anti Islam attitude. He said the Muslim world could not give up its demand for the independence of the Baitul Maqdis which had its importance in the Islamic history.

The JI chief said he had tried to contact Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on telephone but was informed that the Premier was abroad. He said whenever the country was facing difficult time, Mian Nawaz Sharif left the country. He said that the Prime Minister should have taken a courageous stance against Israel at this moment as representative of nuclear Pakistan.

He said the government decision to observe day of mourning in sympathy with the oppressed Palestinians was appreciable, but the nation wanted to know how long would the nuclear Pakistan remain indifferent on such a sensitive issue. It was a pity, he said that the rulers did not have the courage to  raise voice against the US or the Israeli aggression.

Sirajul Haq said that the Pakistani nation stood with the Palestinian brethren to the last drop of their blood and could not yield to the fascism of the Zionist state.

Addressing the rally, JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, deplored that the government was hesitant on the Palestine issue and the Foreign Office was  giving  an indication of recognizing Israel.

He noted that the anti Islam  forces had cut off Darfur and East Temore  from Muslim states but the Muslim rulers remained silent. The Muslim world was also indifferent when the elected government of Dr Mursi was toppled in Egypt. . He warned that if the Muslim world did not rise at this moment, Israel would establish its control over the remaining part of Palestine as well.

JI Foreign Affairs chief Abdul Ghaffar Aziz., in his address, said that the current war in Palestine was different because even Israel was suffering losses. He said that as many as 32 air companies had announced closure of their air service to Israel. He said that truce this time would be on the terms of Palestine  and not Israel.

JI deputy chief Hafiz Muhammad Idrees and other party leaders were also present.
