Provincial Minster for Zakat orders for immediate release of Ramadan and Eid Grant for Zakat Mustehqeen

Lahore: Provincial Minster for Zakat & Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran has directed the authorities of the department to make arrangements for immediate release of Rs.20.42 crore as a Ramadan and Eid Grant for Zakat Mustehqeen so that they could meet their needs before Eid.

He issued these directions while presiding over a high level meeting, here today. Secretary Zakat & Usher Habibur Rehman Gillani, Administrator Zakat Muhammad Yousuf Butt and other concerned officers of the department were present.

Malik Nadeem Kamran said that 204,228 deserving persons will benefit from the release of Eid grant in the province. He stressed upon the officers to make foolproof arrangements for immediate and transparent release of Eid grant. He said that all field officers and chairmen of district and local zakat committees should personally supervise the distribution of Eid grant to the deserving persons and in case of any problem, he should be informed immediately. The Minister warned that strict action will be taken without any discrimination against the officers and officials found negligent of providing Eid grant to the deserving and zero tolerance policy will be implemented.
