Lahore: The life and property of every citizen will be protected at any cost and in future no body will be allowed to fire on innocent citizens who protest for their rights and in this way the Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) will be strictly followed by the Police Force to control any kind of untoward situation.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera while reviewing the crime and law and order situation in the metropolis in a high level meeting held at Police Line Qillah Gujjar Singh, Lahore today. Acting CCPO Lahore, DIG Zulfiqar Hameed, SSP Operations Lahore, Waqas Nazir, all divisional SPs, DSPs and all SHOs of Lahore, attended the meeting.
Provincial Police Chief stressed upon the officers to focus on their top priorities of crime control, public protection and provision of timely justice to complainants. He assured the officers that the morale of the Police force will be enhanced at all levels so that they can perform their responsibilities more confidently. They will find me beside them in the line of duty added, the IGP.
In the meeting dacoity, robbery, mobile snatching, Car/motorcycle theft, murder, street crime situation of Lahore, was reviewed in detail. IGP directed the officers to increase the patrolling in business centers, residential colonies, banks and important places of the city.
The Provincial Police Chief also directed the officers that they should work round the clock so that the black shirt could be made a symbol of peace and security instead of terror.
