Lahore: Members Provincial Assembly Majid Zahoor, Ghazali Saleem Butt, Bao Akhtar Ali and Muhammad Waheed Gull have said that provincial budget of Punjab is reflective of people’s aspirations in which by brining elite into tax net, the resources have been diverted towards poor people. They termed new financial year’s budget as balanced and said that this budget will usher in new era of progress and prosperity in the province.
In a statement, the parliamentarians said that public service is manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League-N and the new budget is reflective of this manifesto. They said that record funds have been allocated for development projects in the biggest provincial budget of the history of Punjab and special attention has been paid towards provision of basic facilities to the people in the budget.
Members Assembly said that attention has also been paid to energy sector for bringing the country out of darkness and for this purpose Rs. 31 billion have been allocated in the budget. They said that funds have also been increased for education and health sectors.
They said that GDP ratio would reach 8 percent within next four years while technical training would be provided to more than 20 lakh men and women for elimination of unemployment. Best budget has been presented in the present circumstances and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif deserves congratulation on presenting excellent budget, they added.
