Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the main objective of creating Pakistan is to provide social and economic justice to the masses. He said that just distribution of resources was also an objective of achieving a separate homeland.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Dr. Majid Nizami and Karkunan-e-Tehrik-e-Pakistan at Nazria Pakistan Trust here today. The progress on the project of Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam was also discussed during the meeting.
He said that the culture of sifarish, loot, plunder and coercion can be rooted out through equitable distribution of resources besides Ulema, workers of Pakistan Movement should also highlight the great message of socio-economic justice from their platform so that economic injustices in the society could be eliminated.
The Chief Minister said that Chairman Nazria-Pakistan Trust Dr. Majid Nizami and his colleagues are rendering a great service in creating awareness among new generation of the aims and objectives of Pakistan Movement and their services will be written in golden letters in the history.
He congratulated Dr. Majid Nizami and his colleagues for creating awareness among new generation of the aims objectives of Pakistan Movement. He said that the time being spent by Dr. Majid Nizami in old age for achieving this great objective is laudable.
The Chief Minister announced a grant of rupees five crore for the project of Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam, two busses for the Trust, renovation of Madr-e-Millat Park and Rs.20 lakh as annual medical grant for Pakistan Movement workers.
He assured that resources will also be provided for the completion of library at Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam. Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Dr. Majid Nizami thanked Shahbaz Sharif on his cooperation in the project of Nazria Pakistan Trust and Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam. Karkunan-e-Tehrik-e-Pakistan while appreciating public welfare steps of Shahbaz Sharif said that he is serving the nation and the country with full devotion. They said that Shahbaz Sharif has always cooperated with Nazria Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust. Former President of Pakistan Rafiq Tarar, Provincial Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad, Secretaries of Information, Archives, Higher Education and Schools Education besides Vice Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Prof. Dr. Rafiq Ahmad and other office bearers of the Trust were also present on the occasion.
