Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League -Q President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri have said that agreement of both the parties on 10 point agenda was welcome move, this would improve the lot of common man, provision of basic amenities was responsibility of the State, PML govt had implemented this agenda in Punjab, Pakistan was facing very grave situation, every Pakistani should support patriotic forces for pulling the country out of this grave situation.
Leaders of both the parties expressed these views while addressing luncheon reception hosted in their honour by PML Europe and Britain. The luncheon reception was also attended by Tariq Bashir Cheema, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Moonis Elahi and Haleem Adil Sheikh as well as PAT Europe and Britain office-bearers.
Thanking PML Europe and Britain office-bearers, Ch Shujat Hussain said that he was very happy to see them very active. Addressing himself to Pakistanis living in Britain and in particular PML workers he said that they could play important role by supporting patriotic forces in pulling the country out of bad worst conditions. He said that Pakistanis living in foreign countries play important role in strengthening economy of Pakistan.
Ch Shujat Hussain said that during his short stint as the Prime Minister he had tried his level best to solve the problems of Overseas Pakistanis; whenever he got an opportunity next he would take wholesome and effective measures like in the past to provide maximum facilities to the Overseas Pakistanis, Insha-Allah.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that 10 point agenda was a feasible programme, according to the Constitution it was the responsibility of the State to provide health, education and other basic amenities and facilities to the people and this was our agenda, during our govt in Punjab from 2002 to 2007 started implementation of agenda for shouldering this responsibility through effective planning and vision and implemented many points quite successfully also. He said that in the coming time also, Insha-Allah, we would take result-oriented measures because our mission was to transform Pakistan into a welfare state.
