Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Siraj ul Haq, has reached Muzaffar Abad to personally oversee the operation to search out the bodies of JI deputy chief, Karachi Nasrullah Shajeeh and student Sufyan Asim who drowned in Kunar river on Monday.
Nasrullah Shajeen was drowned during an attempt to save the student who had slipped into the river while performing ablution.
The search operation was being made by the JI workers, the Al-Khidmat Foundation, and the rescue workers of the Khyber P. and Azad Kashmir governments but had failed to trace the bodies so far. Special teams of divers were formed on the same day under the supervision of JI general secretary, Khyber P. a former MNA, Shabbir Ahmed Khan.
Shabbir Ahmed Khan gave a report to the JI Ameer about the divers’ operation so far and the JI chief expressed complete satisfaction over that. He instructed the team to spare no efforts to make the operation a success and was confident that the divers would be able to find out the bodies of the two martyrs.
Meanwhile, the JI chief expressed full sympathies with the bereaved families and said that the JI fully shared their grief.
