ICMAP Celebrates 63rd ‘Management Accountant Day’

icmap management accountant day1Islamabad: The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan commemorated its 63rd anniversary as a ‘Management Accountant Day’ to mark institute’s professional excellence in providing modern management accounting in the country, says a press release.
Addressing the audience, Vice President Ghulam Mustafa Qazi highlighted that ICMAP has been contributing substantially in the economic development of Pakistan while preserving its strong code of professional ethics.
Professionalism is a dividing force and a key determinant for all organization to advance their goals, he added.

Addressing the participants, Abdul Khalil, Chairman CPDC said that today we can say with proud that Management Accountants’ specialty towards cost management and management accounting made them part of the strategic and decision making team where nucleus of future direction depends on effective utilisation of resourcesto achieve cost effectiveness for sustainable economic growth.
The fraternity of the Management Accountants has now its presence all over the world.  Nation-wide ICMAP members are contributing in the different public and private organization to support competitive decision making by collecting, processing, and communicating information that helps management plan, control, and evaluate business processes and organisation strategy, said by Chairman Waqar Ali Khan.
Mr. Muhammad Imran, Vice Chairman said that Cost Accountants in the present world are playing a significant role in the development of economy.  Today’s celebration demand to rejuvenate our commitment towards purpose of existence. It is high time for members, students, employees, faculty and other stakeholders to be proud of their past achievements, remember the lessons that history taught and make commitment towards an infinite future to continue bringing innovation, he added.

Other distinguished guest speakers emphasized that It is the day to reaffirm your promises to provide a better institution for the generations to come so as to see our country progressing. It is the day to realise challenges and to overcome the differences of opinion to give diversity a new positive look. It is the day to honor those who served the Institute in different capacities to give recognition for their services.
The event was attended by professional accountants, CEOs, and heads of regulatory bodies including Sajjad Ahmad, Basharat A Mirza, Matee ur Rehman Mirza, Kashif Mateen Ansari, Nazeer Ahmad Shaheen, Ain-ud-Din Siddiqui, Secretary Rizwan, Director North Aftab Ali Khan and others.
