JI condemns the desecration of Sikhs holy book

Amir-ul-AzeemLahore: Jamaat e Islami’s Information Secretary, Ameer ul Azeem, has strongly condemned the incident of the desecration of Sikhs holy book Granth Sahib, and termed it a conspiracy  against the country’s integrity and solidarity.

In a statement here on Friday, he stressed upon the government to expose the hidden hand behind the plot and make fool proof arrangements for the security of the worship places of all the minorities in the country. He also called for immediate arrest of the culprits and deterrent punishment to them.

The JI leader said that Islam preached respect for the worship places and holy books of all religions. All the minorities in the country enjoyed equal rights.  However, he said, the miscreants involved in anti state activities were working on the agenda to spread anarchy and disruption in the country. He said after the mosques and the madrissahs, the enemies of Pakistan were now targeting the worship places and the holy books of other religions in order to undermine national unity and cohesion and defame the country.
