CM orders to remove SP city,dismissed DSP and two SHO

Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken stern action over the death of a youth Hafiz Rashid due to kite string in Badami Bagh area and ordered suspension and removal from service of DSP Shafiqabad Atif Hayat and SHOs Badami Bagh and Ravi Road.

The Chief Minister also ordered making SP City Imtiaz Sarwar as OSD and directed that police officers guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty regarding implementation of the ban on kite flying be proceeded under PEEDA as they deserve no leniency. He said that death of an innocent youth due to kite string is extremely tragic. He said that kite flying will not be tolerated and police and district administration should ensure strict implementation of the law in this regard.
The Chief Minister said that strict action will be taken without any discrimination against the concerned officers in case of complaint of kite flying from any area.

The Chief Minister also sympathized with the bereaved family of Hafiz Rashid.
