Lahore: PTI General Secretary Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid severely criticized Geo’s targeted character assassination of Chairman Imran Khan here at ,in a press conference. She said that Imran Khan was without doubt a man who respected and honored in Pakistan but all over the world and it was highly condemnable that he was being targeted on personal character assassination campaign by Geo.
She said that this propaganda launched by Geo against our Chairman only because the Chairman had questioned Geo’s ethics on election transmission and conflict of interest issues which was against the code of conduct of any ethical and law abiding channel.
She said that it was because Imran Khan Truth could not be digested by Geo that they had started the campaign attacking his personal life and character. She also said that geo had really crossed the boundaries by betraying the feelings of Muslims all over the world showing it’s extremely derogatory and un-Islamic scenes on its Utho Jaago Pakistan program. She said that Geo had crossed all limits and the government had completely ignored all this instead of taking direct action.
She said Geo was responsible for rigging down the image of the country and that is why the Chairman Imran Khan had question geo that whether its agenda was backed by foreign wested interest. She warned geo that if they do not stop the personal campaign against Imran Khan the women of PTI who were its office bearers and over 23000 in the country would all come out and protest in the front of the Geo offices and would not stop its protest until geo stop behaving in such a damaging fashion.
Shanila Rout MPA Minorities PTI said that she had always found the chairman extremely courteous and respectful for the rights of minorities and the Chairman really encourage women and other minority to have the fey in the party decision and to always fight for the rights of the women. She warned if Geo did not stop this slander the minorities will come out and protest against Geo’s uncalled completely wrong un-Islamic act.
