Lahore: Country Director World Bank in Pakistan, Rashid Ben Masooaud called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad today. Ongoing development schemes in energy, education and health sectors were discussed during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that government is committed to resolve energy crises and energy generating projects from coal and solar are being set up in Punjab. He appreciated the cooperation of World Bank for development of various sectors. He said that steps are being taken by formulating concrete policies for revival and strengthening of the economy.
Shahbaz Sharif said that all out facilities are being provided to foreign investors. He said that investors are taking interest in Pakistan and indicators of economy have improved.
Country Director World Bank Rashid Ben Masooaud said it is a good omen that Pakistan is moving on the road to progress.
