Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that through countrywide protest the nation has given its verdict against the results of May 2013 general elections, full protest against dearness of essential and other articles, unemployment and worst law and order situation was an indication of no trust in govt policies.
Talking to media at his residence here today, Ch Parvez Elahi said the protest and movement started today will continue and it will not end without reaching its logical conclusion and next grand opposition alliance will have to be formed. He said that we were saying this from the first day and today the people have also confirmed the stance that huge and massive rigging was committed during 2013 general elections, mandate of the rulers was fake and elections were hijacked under a well-conceived plan.
Ch Parvez Elahi further said that Imran Khan was right in saying that the former Chief Justice was involved in it. He said that he even would say that the veiled personality (pardanasheen) who was sitting in GOR on May 11 was the master-mind of this project and coordinating it should also be un-veiled and exposed. He said that the question was not of just four seats and “jhurlo” was rolled everywhere and whichever bag would be opened there would be nothing except waste (raddi) and fake ballot papers with no signatures and thumbs impressions of hands and foot.
Ch Parvez Elahi said disclosures of former Chief Election Commissioner Fakharuddin G. Ebrahim have proved the interference of the former Chief Justice in the electoral process.
