Lahore: Punjab Minister for Industries Ch. Muhammad Shafiq has said that setting up of Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park is the glaring example of Pak-China friendship and another solid step taken by Chief Minister Punjab in the direction of his public development programme.
He said this while presiding over a meeting held here today for review on the arrangements to be made for ground breaking ceremony of Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park at Sheikhupura, to be held on May 28.
Secretary Industries Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Chairman Punjab Industrial Development Management Committee (PIDMC) Gen. Retd. Javed Iqbal, CEO Ejaz Azim and others participated the meeting.
Provincial Minister Industries said that Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park is another dream of Chief Minister Punjab which is being materialized. Through it, Pakistani garment products would get an access to the market of not only Europe but markets around the globe.
The Minister said that Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park would increase the volume of national exchange reservoirs. Ch. Muhammad Shafiq said that the foundation stone of the great project would be laid down on May 28, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and political as well as administrative leadership of China would also grace the occasion. The historic ceremony would also be attended by federal ministers, senators, members of national as well as provincial assemblies, topper students of boards and universities.
Punjab Minister for Industries and Secretary directed PIDMC and its board of management to better the arrangements of the event and make it a success.
