Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Young Stars defeated Azad Kashmir Cricket Club

Trophy Photo Group PhotoLahore: Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Young Stars defeated Azad Kashmir Cricket Club of Blind by 03 runs, in the nail biting final of PAF T20 Cricket Champions Trophy for the Blind, played at PAF Complex Cricket Ground Islamabad. Air Marshal Asim Suleiman, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Administration) who is also Patron in Chief of Islamabad Cricket Club for the Blind was the chief guest on the occasion.

The final match was a close contest and had a thrilling finish. Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Young Stars scored 272 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Haroon played a brilliant innings of 150 runs (not out). In reply, Azad Kashmir Cricket Club of Blind could score 269 runs for the loss of 07 wickets. Jamil’s scintillating knock of 170 runs did not help in averting the defeat.

Six teams from different cities of Pakistan participated in the tournament. The chief guest awarded prizes among the winners of the tournament. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest congratulated all the participating teams for showing such marvelous sportsman spirit. He further said that PAF was proud of serving the noble cause of bringing the visually impaired in the mainstream of the society.
