British govt wants to help Pakistan:CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif

CM PUNJAB 2-5-14Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the commission set up for Overseas Pakistanis will be an effective institution which will play an important role in resolution of problems of Pakistanis living abroad. He was addressing a reception hosted in his honour by the Pakistanis living in London, today. He said not a single day passed during the previous rule when stories of corruption of the rulers had not appeared in newspapers and TV.

He said that the present government was formed a year ago and the worst enemies could not level any allegation of corruption against PML government. He said that economy of Pakistan is speedily stabilizing under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He said that Pakistani rupee has appreciated and the foreign exchange reserves have exceeded 12 billion dollars. China has given a development package of 32 billion dollars to Pakistan through which Pakistan will be able to generate 20,000 MW electricity within next seven years, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the main reason of practical cooperation by friendly countries to Pakistan is the fact that they know there is an honest government in Pakistan. He said God forbid the days again come in Pakistan when we used to listen daily the stories of corruption of the rulers.

The Chief Minister said, during his visit to UK, he observed that from Prime Minister to British authorities of all sectors have inquired how they can help Pakistan.
