Due to that, the supremacy of law and the constitution remained a dream. He said if the murderers were promptly punished, dozens of innocent people won’t be  put to death every day. Similarly, if the corrupt had been brought to accountability, the plunder of public wealth would not have continued.

He said that the government as well some internal and foreign forces were continuing a vicious campaign against the madrissahs which only preached peace and tolerance and not war. History was a  witness that every power which tried to eliminate the ideological character of Pakistan perished but Islam remained alive. He said the goal before the JI’s political struggle was the establishment of the Shariah rule in the country.

Addressing the gathering, JI chief Khyber P and member of the Taliban negotiation committee, Prof. Muhammad Ibrhaim khan, deplored the statement of the PAF, showing readiness to fight against the Taliban. He asked the AIR chief as to where the air force had been at the time of the attack at the Silala check post.

Prof. Ibrahim khan said I would be better if the Army chief and the DG ISI   joined the talks with the Taliban. He requested both the Taliban and the government to continue ceasefire. He said the some developments after the expiry of the ceasefire were unpleasant and stressed that the two sides, being Muslims, should not shed each others blood.

He said that the police   brutally tortured the  protesting families including Mrs A’mina Masood Janjua and even slapped on her face. He said that even an enemy wont treat the women folk like that. The Islamabad police should be ashamed  of such a behavior which painted such an ugly picture of the country abroad.
