Lahore: Under the auspices of Pakistan Air Force, a group of teachers and students from Baluchistan province arrived at PAF Base Nur Khan (Rawalpindi) on a familiarization visit to different PAF educational institutions today.
The group comprising 12 teachers and 55 students, selected from all districts of Baluchistan province were airlifted in a C-130 aircraft from PAF Base Samungli (Quetta) to PAF Base Nur Khan (Rawalpindi).
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force has directed to undertake a three phase orientation programme in the educational sector of Baluchistan for promotion of national integration and exploring the young talent of under-developed areas of the province.
In the first phase, two workshops on basic pedagogical skills were conducted for the teachers of government schools of Baluchistan province.
In the next phase, selected teachers from Baluchistan are being trained to prepare young students from Baluchistan for eventual selection in PAF Public Schools at Sargodha and Lower Topa.
In the 3rdphase, selected teachers and students are taken on a familiarization visit to various PAF educational institutions for creating better understanding and harmony. This is the second visit of its nature where Pakistan Air Force has facilitated the youth from Baluchistan province to interact with the students of reputed PAF institutions.
The group is on three day a familiarization visit to different PAF Educational Institutions of the region i-e PAF Academy Risalpur, PAF Public School Lower Topa, Fazaia Inter College Islamabad and Teacher Training Institute, Islamabad.
