Punjab Adventure Park will be setup in Lahore:Rana Mashud

Minister Education-16-4Lahore: Punjab government has decided to set up Punjab Adventure Park on 64 kanal land at Harbanspura Lahore. A stadium will be constructed on 32 kanal at this proposed park with a capacity of 5000 spectators.

There will be complete security arrangements for riders of motorcycle race on Mud Track and demonstrating other tricks on motorcycles. There will be Go Kart Cars track on remaining 32 kanals of Punjab Adventure Park.

This was disclosed by Provincial Minister for Education & Tourism Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan during a meeting at Punjab Tourism Complex Lahore. Secretary Tourism Punjab Muhammad Khan Khitchi and Additional Secretary Tourism Javed Akhtar Mehmood informed the Minister about the disputes of TDCP land at Harbanspura Lahore and Jallo Park Resort.

Chairperson Standing Committee on Tourism Mohtarma Tahiya Noon, Member Punjab Assembly Rana Tajamal, Additional Secretary Forest Mian Ibrar Ahmed and other concerned officials attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the arrangements of a 2-day Lahore International Tourism Expo (LITE-2014) to be held on April 19-20, 2014 at Lahore Expo Centre.

The meeting was also informed about the programmes of the LITE-2014. The meeting decided that tourism policy of Punjab government will be launched on the occasion of World Tourism Day on October 27, 2014.

Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that a big size model of walled city Lahore should be prepared with the technical cooperation of COMSATS Institute Lahore. The Minister constituted a committee headed by Tahiya Noon for preparing model keeping in view the historic facts and archeological experts associated with walled city project, Director General Archeology, MD TDCP and personalities of walled city who played their role for highlighting historic importance of Lahore will be included in the committee.

Rana Mashhood directed that the model should be prepared before World Tourism Day.   

Meanwhile,Minister Education inaugurated a week long exhibition of landscape paintings created by renowned painter Dr. Ayesha Siddiqui started today at Humayal Art Gallery, Lahore.

Ayesha Siddiqui is a significant young contemporary Pakistani painter. She is the youngest artist in Pakistan with a Studio Practice doctoral degree in Fine Arts from Punjab University Lahore.

The current exhibition is apparently an exhibition of landscapes, but these are not only landscapes but geometric surfaces formulated to deceive by mimicking a dazzling camouflage can also be detected in squares, rectangles and grids in these unique landscapes.
