Lahore: A meeting was held between President Syed Mamnoon Hussain and the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today.
Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar, Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah, MPA Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Chief Secretary and senior officials were present on the occasion. During the meeting, country’s situation, development projects of Punjab and recent visit to China were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain said that recent visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to China is an important progress for coping with energy crisis and the key objective of foreign tours by PML-N leadership is to eliminate energy crisis.
He said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is serving the people round the clock and the abilities of Shahbaz Sharif for implementing projects speedily are acknowledged at international level including China.
Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar said that Shahbaz Sharif has completed a number of public welfare projects in record period though his hard work and determination. He said that selfless service to the people is the mission of Shahbaz Sharif.
Chief Minister said that coal power plants project will be completed in shortest period and this project is of great importance for eliminating load-shedding. He said that Chinese government has assured complete cooperation for Orange Line in Lahore and the preliminary work on this project has been started.
Shahbaz Sharif told that after the success of Lahore Metro Bus Project, the construction work on Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project is continuing speedily which will be completed within ten months. The Chief Minister said that PML-N government will come up to the expectations of the people.
After meeting, President Mamnoon Hussain left for Islamabad. President was seen off by Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at the airport. Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar, Chief Secretary and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
