Lahore: Provincial Parliamentary Secretary on Information & Culture Punjab, Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that special children are precious asset of the nation and the country and have excellent capabilities. He said that Punjab government is utilizing all resources for the provision of educational facilities to such children and making them useful citizen of the society.
He expressed these views while addressing as chief guest at a seminar arranged by Jeway Pakistan Media at Alhamra Art Council today. He appreciated the performance of special children and said that they have beautifully highlighted their hidden qualities during recitation from Holy Quran, Naat, national songs, drama and dance programmes.
Rana Arshad said he is pleased to see the courage and abilities of these children. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has set up primary, middle and high schools at tehsil level for special children where they have been provided pick and drop facilities through special buses.
He said that free education is being provided to special children in technical training institutes and after completing their education, male and female special children are playing their important role in the development of the country. He said that special quota has been fixed for special persons in all government departments and funds will also be enhanced for special children and their institutions in future.
