A delegation of UK Aid calls on Minister for Special Education

Minister Special Education 10-4-14Lahore: Provincial Minister for Special Education, Asif Saeed Manais has said that all possible facilities and training is being provided to special children studying in special educational institutions so that they could lead a confident life.

He was talking to a delegation of UK Aid at Civil Secretariat, here today. The delegation comprised Amjad Pervaiz Country Manager, Sajjad Qureshi Advocacy Manager, Bushra Rehman District Manager Khushab, Sargodha and Director Faazil Cheema. The members of the delegation informed the Minister that with the cooperation of UK Aid besides the children, guidance to the parents is also necessary so that they could provide better education and training to their children according to their needs.

 The Minister said that special children despite physical and mental difficulties, are studying with hard work and determination and making efforts to lead a life like the normal children. He said we are making efforts that after initial counseling and training, special children should be sent to normal educational institutions so that they could play their role in the life after completing their education along with normal children.

The Minister also apprised delegation of the ongoing projects of Punjab government for special persons and assured UK Aid of every possible cooperation of the government.
