We will oppose Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan Bill in the Senate: Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed at Ch Shujat Hussain’s residence here today.

During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding national and political situation and mutual matters as well as about Tahuffuz-e-Pakistan Bill.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that Tahuffuz-e-Pakistan Bill has been passed by the National Assembly but our party will oppose it in the Senate. He said the bill contains inhuman provisions in which such powers have been given to shoot anyone, bill also provides that any person can be kept under arrest for 90 days without any inquiry. Ch Shujat Hussain said that our party will oppose this bill in the Senate and will submit alternate proposals.
