Islamabad vegetable market blast takes 21 lives

Islamabad vegetable market blastISD Blast Islamabad blastRescue workers are collecting evidence from the spotLahore: At least 21 people have lost their lives in a deadly blast happened at Islamabad vegetable market.People were busy in buying fruits and vegetable when high potency blast jolted every thing there.Police have started its working after reaching at the spot where as  rescue teams have taken all the injured to near by hospital .Ambulances were rushing in and out carrying wounded people and dead bodies. The blast left a 1.5-metre (five-foot) diameter crater at the site, which was littered with body parts and guava fruits drenched in blood, an eye witness stated at the scene . Eyewitness Muhammad Tahir described the carnage as the bomb detonated. “The blast took place around 8:00, when we were standing there — bodies were flying everywhere, bodies were flying at the height of 20 to 25 feet,” he told to the media. Senior local administration official Nauman Yousuf told that “it was a planted bomb”. A bomb disposal official told that the device hidden in a fruit box weighed five to six kilograms (11 to 13 pounds) and was packed with nuts and bolts to cause maximum carnage.Pervez Rasheed is talking to media at PIMS

Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has condemned the recent blast in Islamabad fruit market that killed 18 people while injured 30 others on Wednesday.

According to a statement, the TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said that attacking innocent civilians was illegal and prohibited, adding that the Taliban condemn blasts that target public places. Hidden elements should not be ignored, he added.

Minister for Information and Broadcast Pervez Rasheed after inquiring the health of the injured at PIMS ,talked to media and said he visited the injured on the direction of the Prime Minister.

All the injured were being provided maximum facilities and they would be provided hundred percent treatment and medicines. The minister said ,terrorists were being isolated in Pakistan and We will restore peace in the country.the people involved in such terrorists activities would not be spared and taken to task,he added.

At the occasion principal ,PIMS Dr Javaid Akram said that 54 injured were under treatment in his hospital,all are men and most of them are vendors and they have leg injuries.
